Robert Capa

Born:October 22, 1913 in Budapest, Hungary  with the name Endre Ernő Friedmann. He later changed it to the famous Robert Capa after he fled to Paris to get away from the Nazi regime 

Died:  May 25, 1954 during the first indochina war because he was doing a war shoot and he ended up stepping on a landmine 

He first got intrested in photography after he started spending time with his crush who happened to own a camera

He went to Berlin to study journalism and he became a dark room assistant then fled to Paris after the rise of Hitler

Robert Capa was most famously known for his war photography. He most famously captured the wars of: Spanish Civil War, multiple battles from World War II, The First Indochina War, 

 'The Greatest War Photographer in the World: Robert Capa'

He created Magnum Photos with Cartier-Bresson, David Seymour and George Rodger. The company Still exists today.

An award called the 'Robert Capa Gold Medal Award', established in 1955 was created to honor Robert Capa and is given to reward exceptional professional merit
