The most chaotic time in my life was the time I spent in the hospital. I was trying to juggle my missed school work as well as recovering from a disorder. My life was in shambles and I spent most of my days inside. The little time I spent outside in the gardens were moments I cherished deeply. The smell of the flowers and the fresh air seemed to heel me instantly. Nature was the best medicine for me at this point in my life.

     The flower in this picture is replacing an IV in a person’s arm to show that nature and the outdoors can be a healer. The arm is in a bed to represent a hospital bed. The subject is suffering from something and nature is her medicine just like it was for me.
