This technique is something I have never tried before, but I am very happy with the outcome. I was excited to try something new and experiment with it. I never thought a photo could be embroidered until I did some research. After being successful with this technique I feel like a whole new opportunity to express ideas through photography has become available to me. I am able to show two different ideas in one final piece. I enjoyed manipulating the picture like this, I feel like this allows me to showcase my skills with other forms which really excites me.

                The photo is of just a single hand. This single hand is showing a peace sign with the bones embroidered in red. The embroidery is to show what is one the inside, bones. Everyone looks the same on the inside. No matter race, religion, beliefs, etc. everyone one is the same on the inside. If everyone were to realize this idea then everyone will become more excepting and peaceful of each other which is shown through the peace sign. I decide to use red string to contrast the simplicity of the black and white and have the embroidery stand out.
